"To fulfill your dream, you need to have a dream first. Miracles don't exist in this world. There are only inevitabilities and accidents, and what you are going to do. But sometimes the outcome of your actions, which become inevitable, will overlap with accidents and fulfill your dream unexpectedly. Whether it can be considered a miracle or not, one thing is for sure - Nothing will happen if you don't wish for it."

Paraphrased from Ef - A Tale of Memories last episode. Fabulous ending, unlike a certain other anime Myself, Yourself. It was on its way to become a damn nice series, until the producers screwed up the ending. I understand that they did it to make people buy the visual novel, but the ending was just to crappy. It was reaching a climax, then bam! 10 years later... -.- On the other hand, Ef is definitely one of my favourite series. Actually, I can't even keep track of all the anime I've watched already =X To list my favourites in alphabetical order...

All-time Favourites
Air
Bysousoku 5 centimetre
Claymore
Code Geass
Death Note
Ef - A Tale of Memories
Fate/Stay Night
FF7 AC
Fullmetal Alchemist
Honey & Clover
Princess Mononoke
Romeo X Juliet
Scrapped Princess
Seirei no Moribito
Spirited Away
The Place Promised in our Early Days

Originally I got 19 series named, then after the heart-wrenching decision to take away some names, I still have 16 here >.< style="font-style: italic;">almost all the anime movies I've watched are inside. I can't say that Howl's Moving Castle has the same impact on me as Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke. There's still some series I'm really tempted to add in though, so I'll list them as Special Mention xD

Special Mention
Black Cat
Black Lagoon
Great Teacher Onizuka
Initial D
Last Exile
Mushi-uta
Shakugan no Shana
Slam Dunk
Tsubasa Chronicles
Welcome to NHK

Truthfully, Slam Dunk should have been part of my all-time favourites, since it impact-ed( got such a word?) the most - it caused me to start playing basketball >.> But the manga is just much better than the anime, so I've listed it under special mention instead.

Time to sleep. Almost forgot I still have to work tomorrow (today) >.< Can't say I didn't get a good 2 days rest from work, but it could have been better if it hadn't rain =\ Oyasumi!

Been feeling a lot of fatigue during work these days even though it's not busy. Went to the toilet to pee quite a lot of times even though I didn't drink a lot. It's quite clear some more. People who study biology should understand Positive feedback from the hypothalamus. Just need to endure one more day though, then I'll finally have my day off on Saturday, since last Tuesday. But anyway...

Ladies, the next time you wear a miniskirt, for your sake but not mine, please cross your legs when you sit on a sofa or chair, otherwise this is what a typical guy will think...

*Looks around to see if any customers wants to order*
*Spots something blue between the legs of a lady customer*
"Hey! It's blue!"
*Goes to serve some other customers and comes back. Since I'm not a cat, curiousity can't kill me xD*
*Finds out that the lady placed pouch between her legs*
"Wah lao spoilsport lah!"

This is the view from a teenager with hormones not as raging. For a teenager with raging hormones, the imagination will be such that typing it down here will be considered explicit for ages below 18 and unfit for the minds of innocent youngsters =)

I wanted to bitch about the 2 new girls who came since last week but decided against it now. Won't do me any good right? But anyway I saw Miss Yati from my primary school yesterday( Wednesday). Couldn't recognise her outside of Temasek though >.< *Taking orders.* Ms Yati( didn't recognise at that time): Woon Yang. *She must be looking at my name tag. Nevermind*
Ms Yati: Temasek Primary School. School athlete. Maths olympiad. Mr Ibrahim's pet.
*Wtf? Looks at her. She looks familiar...*
Me: Miss Yati?
Ms Yati: Yes. You cannot recognise me?

Crapped for a while. Asked my manager to give her discount since I know her but the tip she left for me is more than the discount >.> Somehow I don't feel good getting tips from someone I know, even though Mr Ibrahim always treats us to lunch and drinks but it's different in a way =X And I can't even thank her since I don't have her number and I'm not going back to Temasek anytime soon...Oh well, I'll try and find a way >.>

Oh and I think I need glasses. Kept seeing 6 as 8 and today I saw 5 as 2 >.>

It's Christmas. Wow. Wonder if my manager wondered why I can work tomorrow( today) at such a short notice.

Pissed off with myself. Well, not exactly pissed off anymore, but still depressed.

Merry X'mas? Not exactly.

Christmas

Christmas is coming. In fact, it's already Christmas eve today >.> Almost everyone around the world will be celebrating it, but how many are actually celebrating because it's Christmas and not just because it's a holiday? There's a difference.

Doesn't feel like it's only 2 days since I blogged >.> Actually it also doesn't feel that in about 2 weeks time, school's gonna start.

Anyway Monday would have been a nice end to work until this customer with his family came. I was explaining to another customer about the card promotion when this particular group walked in and sat on a table we haven't cleared, even though there's an empty table just next to it( and none of us knew this group came in cos it's frigging busy). So anyway when I sent the cakes to that table, I saw 4 forks on the table already on another plate, so I assumed that those are theirs.

*I start to walk away*
Father: Excuse me.
Me: Yes?
Father: Do you see anything wrong?
*Me looking at him quizically*
Father: What are we going to eat with?
Me: huh?
Mother: Maybe you want to clear these plates first.
*Then I understood those not theirs*
Me: Oh okay, right away, ma'am.
Father: Frankly, I'm very pissed off with your service.

Just that one sentence got me frigging pissed off. There's a frigging EMPTY table which they do not want to sit, sat on a frigging dirty table willingly, and says our service is bad?! So when they asked for the bill, I gave it to them and stared at the father, "Sir, would you like to feedback on our POOR service?". Then he just dao-ed me -.-

Then today my colleague's friend, Spageddies' supervisor, was telling us about how stupid some people can be.

Customer: Excuse me, what is this promotion?
Him: *Explains* but there's no promotion today as today is eve of PH.
Customer: So is there a promotion today?
Him: Sorry, the promotion is not available today or tomorrow, as today is Hari Raya eve.
Customer: So will there be a promotion tomorrow?
Him: No sir, because tomorrow is Hari Raya Haji.
Customer: Oh, so there will be a promotion tomorrow?

-.-

Personality

Is one's personality shaped by one's innate nature or by the environment? Someone who grew up around liars becomes a liar himself, then is it the people around him at fault for what he has become or is it his own fault? But what does it matter to the people around him whether it's their fault or not, when the problem has got nothing to do with them?

Let's use another example for environment factor - Someone who becomes a loner because his friends do not honour their promises or are always late for meetings. Is it the fault of this person that he feels rejected, hence not willing to hang out with his so-called friends anymore? But even if it's his friends' fault, will it matter to them? Or will they even realise they are the cause of this someone's problem? Or is it this someone's fault, for hanging out with friends like them in the first place? It's not like he can predict things will turn out this way. Then what can this person do, continue trying and face the prospect of being rejected once more? How strong can a person be?

Let's say this person follow the advice I gave in the earlier post? Will he have to face numerous rejections continually and feel like a fool each and every time? The fool forgives and forgets, but the smart forgives but never forgets.

School and Work

My colleague was asking me whether I'm excited to started school, to which I replied NO. Then she went:

"Why not? School is fun lor. At least you have friends, like real friends, not like here everyone ask you to do this and do that..."

It isn't really supposed to be some philosophical or whatever talk, but it made me wonder anyway. Looking back, what my colleague said is pretty true. During work, when you talk to someone, it's mostly to ask them to help you do something. Then in school, all you do is crap nonsense and just hang around, cracking jokes or playing games.

I think it was Mr Hon or whoever who said, " Your secondary school friends will be your best friends in life. Once you're in university or working, it's mostly to use or to be used." But at that time, I didn't really think much. I guess knowing it and understanding it is two different things. I started my part-time job for the experience and money, but I guess I gained something else too.

Moral of the story - Cherish the friends you have now.

As for me, there are many people I treat as friends, but I don't know what they treat me as. So I'll need to follow my advice which I suddenly thought of : It doesn't matter what they treat you as, as long as you feel they are a friend, then treat them as one.

Oh yeah, tomorrow's( actually today) payday xD

Half-heartedness

Just finished another episode of Ef - A Tale of Memories. I highly recommend this series. Still not as emotional as some of my favourites, but it makes one think quite a lot.

If you're half-hearted about everything, what would you gain?

Listening to Joe Hisaishi's Spring right now, which is very much in contrast with what I'm feeling right now xD At least it's helping to lighten my mood ^^

Next week gonna be a hectic week for work - Wed Hari Raya eve, Thur Hari Raya, Fri-Sun is weekend >.>

Come to think of it, why did I want to work in the first place? I guess it's mainly for the experience but in just a blink of the eye, it's my 4th week of work already. If I'm a working adult now, will time pass so quickly that it seems that I haven't done anything meaningful? If this is so, then I'm pretty worried for my future - because I'll have none ( if you get what I mean >.>)

The missing colour of my life - where is it?

My only day off from work this week and I'm working... at my mom's shop >.> Can't help though since it's busy there. Haven't seen peeps around my age in ages. They prolly got dragged by their parents ^^;

There was something I wanna blog about but can't remember what >.>

If you have all the money in the world, what would you do?

Joe Hisaishi

Joe Hisaishi's Asian Dream Song.

By the way, Joe Hisaishi is the composer for Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.

Just came back from Xj's house watching Bourne Identity. Not a very good movie if you have to watch the next two movies to understand the plot >.<

And work was... let's just say i rather have it busy like Friday and Sat than today. At least time passed by faster when it's busier. *Crosses my fingers and hopes none of my colleagues see this* I'm already thinking of what my next job should be. Not now but maybe next year? Perhaps office work or technical.

And no I'm not going back to my emo self like in sec 1 or 2. But seriously, if you( well not you but me) try to get to the root to why you are doing anything, you'll realise how superficial you are( well I am). Quoted somewhere: The keys to success is conviction and courage. But to have the conviction to do something, you need a strong reason for doing it. And I realised for the many things I do, the main reason is something so superficial it makes me feel like a hypocrite >.>

Something is missing from my life. I don't know what and I can't find it.

Thursday, November 29, 2007

Work is nothing short of boredom today. It's even worse than last week >.<>.>

Oh yeah I just finished Crossroad today. I rarely read shoujo manga but this one is pretty good.

And I seriously need something to spice up my life...

I didn't become a loner. I'm already one.
I am more intra-personal than inter-personal, which explains why I'm talking to the computer more than I'm talking to people.

Sunday, November 25, 2007

I think I'm slightly traumatized by yesterday's work. Afternoon and night work, come back home sleep, then dreamt of myself still working! >.< But anyway today wasn't as busy as yesterday for some reason, but still busier than weekdays =\

My left leg tendon hurts, must be because of my shoes.

No work tomorrow and Tue. Anyone wanna go pool or whatever?

Oh and the view at secret recipe is great( for guys!) xD
And no it's not barney dancing on stage.

Work again

Working during weekend isn't fun.

Closing shop isn't fun.

Standing for 8 hours isn't fun.

Taking 1 hour off because of staff meal isn't fun.

News of the day: The Franklin Military Academy in Richmond, Virginia suspended a senior this week for reportedly having a list of his classmates' names in a book called Death Note. -.-

Oh and Enchanted is VERY cheesy( it's a fairy tale after all) but also very funny =)

From the Land where happily, every after doesn't exist

Enchanted

Enchanted is pretty nice, even though I have serious doubts in the beginning. Super cheesy( it's a fairy tale after all), but also very funny( especially the chipmunk xD). Interesting though..."To a place where happily, ever after does not exist".

Class Reunion after 4 years...

Feeling damn awake after bath, despite being awake for 25 hours( excluding 1hr rest, including 4hr of work). Even though we have people who can't come due to official reasons, and also people who did not come without actual reasons *hem hem*, we still have 24 of 41 6A1'03 people turning up for this FIRST class reunion after 4 yrs, which I think is a more than expected number.

First thing which struck me was that there was almost no sense of awkwardness. It felt as though we have never even graduated from this class, just chatting and playing normally with each other. Would have liked it if more people stayed back for the night even though there's not even enough space for everyone to sleep >.< And of course, would have liked if I interacted with more people but some scars just cannot be healed with only time, even if you were the cause of the scar yourself, and that some ties broken cannot be mended fully. Shan't go into details.

One of the few times I actually wished I brought a digicam, but oh well hafta wait for others to send me =\ Well despite the brisk rainy weather, the grumbling, and trying to watch the sunrise from the wrong direction xD, I will definitely call this reunion a success =)

Work!

Working at SR is fun =) Well not exactly fun, but enjoyable. Today is better than yesterday 'cos there's almost nobody yesterday while today is pretty busy. Gotta learn to write down orders while listening >.> Come visit me at marina square ^^

Random Update

Barely stopped myself from continuing to watch Hunter X Hunter. Would have continued if not for the crappy streaming during this time of the day(or night). Been sleeping at 3am for the past 3 days. Hoping to break the trend today =\ But anyway anyway anyway, good news is....

I FINALLY GOT A JOB! =D

Went for the interview on Wednesday and the supervisor called me back yesterday( actually 2 days ago) to tell me I got the job (= Oh and did I mention where it is? A few hints...

1. In a mall somewhat connected to citylink
2. Sells cakes
3. No one else should know how to make them

A bit obvious, but anyway I realise that I cannot be a detective in the future because...

FAQ 1: What is my pay? I dunno.
FAQ 2: What is my work schedule? I dunno.

2 of the most important aspects and I missed them out >.<>.> But it's really a rip off even for a polyclinic...wonder if my employer will pay for it. Doubt so but can't hurt to hope right? My sis's boss paid though.

I really should get to sleep soon if I wanna break my trend( I'm left with 40 min currently) so that's all for now, will try and find another topic to crap about soon( if anyone bothers to read ^^ ).
